A HAUTE MESS x NYFW: Elizabeth & James Fall 2012
The Fall 2012 collection from Elizabeth and James was easily one of my favourites during New York Fashion Week. I huffed it to the Meatpacking District, in the rain, and under the weather with the gross cold I get every season (aka The Fashion Week Flu: caused by actual exhaustion, and a touch of celebrity “exhaustion”), to the studio where the presentation was held. It featured racks on racks on racks of the collection’s ultra-luxe pieces (which was a treat, since I could actually touch the garments and experience the quality of the fabrics), followed by a mini-fashion show of Mary Kate and Ashley’s edited picks. Aside from appreciating the intimacy of the presentation, the collection itself is kind of… well, perfect. read more…
