New York Fashion week: it can be overwhelming if you don’t have a game plan. With hundreds of designers with different aesthetics showing within a week, you need to do your homework, and use every contact you have to get in. And once you get in you have no idea what’s going to happen. From JWOWW closing the Richie Rich show on day one, to Gwen Stefani’s 4 year old son Kingston jumping on the catwalk to close L.A.M.B. with his mom, ending Fall 2011 NY Fashion Week.
So here’s just sample of what happened this week with an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at four shows.
The first being Richie Rich who’s over the top show was more about the party than the clothes. The catwalk featured Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir and JWOWW of Jersey Shore fame.
The second show features Jeremy Laing, who goes to show less is more in this season’s beautiful presentation.
Next up is Jeremy Scott; loved by pop stars, was ironically very POP Art infused. Celebrities seen there included Vanessa Hudgens, Keri Hilson, Cobra Snake and Leigh Lezark to name a few.
Last but not least is the polished rocker-chic brand L.A.M.B. by Gwen Stefani who had 6 mini shows in one, inspired by different archetypal women of the ’70s.
