Prepare to have your mind blown by guest blogger Lisamarie from Beauty Crazed on the timely and important (beauty) issue of Gloss Pencils.
If there ever was a godsend to the drunk, spastic or terminally lazy it has got to be that wondrous invention, the gloss pencil. And if you aren’t already familiar with this marvel of engineering, it’s time to get with the times! What is it? Well it’s gloss but rather than having a tube full of liquid, they’ve squashed the gloss into a more solid form and thrown it into a pencil, which makes it très easy to apply! Even better, it’s available at lots of different price points for even the most poverty stricken. Here are my faves:

NARS Velvet Gloss Lip Pencils - $30 – in 6 colours: Baroque – bold raspberry, Happy Days – fresh pink coral with gold shimmer, New Lover – strawberry pink laced with gold, Frivolous – iridescent seashell pink, Hopi – honey beige, Club Mix – sheer grape. Available at Sephora, Murale and Holt Renfrew. Available here.

Lise Watier Lip Kiss Crayon Gloss – $18 – in many different colours including these two new editions to the line – Pink Jelly and Mango Punch. Available at selected drug and department stores and come April 25th, and online.

Quo Jumbo Lip Gloss Stick – $12 – in 6 shades: Pink Petal – translucent pink, Nectar – coral, Lavish – cherry red, Daiquiri – burgundy, Currant – plum red and Ginger Twist – burnt peach. Available at Shoppers Drug Mart.

The only tricky part with these pencils is sharpening them and from experience I can tell you – put them in the fridge for 30 minutes before you sharpen to harden the gloss a bit and use a proper makeup sharpener, not one meant for your writing pencils or it will eat them alive!
Carry on now – your lips are now covered!
