I just got back from a quick European getaway! With not much time to explore, we did not want to spend all our time in the quintessential city of love standing in line at tourist attractions, we wanted more of a French experience. A lot of that had to do with where to go & what to wear! Here’s how to get the most amazing Paris trip with only 3 nights in the city of lights!

WHERE TO STAY

We fell in love with Paris’ Latin Quarter, the Saint-Germain area. If you book in advance you can find an amazing rate at L’Hotel Montalambert. We stayed in a really cute boutique hotel called L’Odeon. The mix of rustic walls with brand new finishes was perfect. And our cute balcony overlooked a square which was perfect to watch the National Bastille day celebrations…also a hankercheifs throw away from fresh coffee, baguettes, and local wine vendors!

WHAT TO BRING

The key to a European trip is to look STYLISH…and fit it all into one carry-on. My FAVE travel essential is my carry on bag by PKG… it doubles as a duffle bag, and then you can pull out the handle and roll it around. It’s small enough to fit on-board the tiniest planes, and just look so hot! PKG also makes a ton of other dope products for travel if you want a cool way to bring your laptop around definitely check out their products.

WHAT TO PACK IN YOUR PKG CARRY ON

- A basic fitted tee,

- A high-waisted short/skirt

- A dressy pant

- Comfortable flats

- A pair of sexy heels

- A Little Black Dress

- A classic Chanel purse (or a fancy/designer purse of your choice)

- A wrap

DAY 1

WHAT TO WEAR

T-shirt & a high-waisted short. Pair with cute oxford flats during the day, and then glam it up with heels & a Chanel purse in the evening.

Bring a wrap (I had a great grey cape by FLUXUS)

WHERE TO GO

- Spend the day walking around the Latin Quarter, find a patio, drink wine and people watch – it’s the Parisian way! Also tons of great places to shop in Saint-Germain area.

- Dinner at Joel Robouchan’s L’Atelier in Saint-Germain. World Famous chef, and traditional high-end French cuisine. Although I didn’t have the nerve to try their recommended dish “Le Pigeon”…we did try “Pied de cochon”…pigs feet. And the leg was prominentaly displayed in plain view of the communal dinner bar. Gross…but delicious!

- For late night drinks, hit up the Hemmingway Bar at The Ritz

DAY 2

WHAT TO WEAR

Dressy Blouse & dark denim jean shorts, with a wrap. Glam it up at night by pairing it with booties, and your classic Chanel purse…and of course your wrap.

(Note: This is the evening you can always pull out your LBD with your purse & heels if you’re going to an upscale place!)

WHERE TO GO

- Go shopping & Walk around La Marais Area (Rue Roseries)

- Take pictures near the Eiffel Tower

- Hit L’Avenue for Lunch

- Do coffee at Café Marly in the Louvre (It’s a sight to see, even if you don’t want to go in, definitely worth asking your cab to drive through)

- Dinner at Le Voltaire for an authentic experience OR hit up Jules Verne…it’s in the Eiffel Tower so very cool, although a bit pricey.

DAY 3

WHAT TO WEAR

Pair your t-shirt up with a fashionable silk pant and oxford flats during the day…then add to the basic outfit with your heels, Chanel purse, and wrap for a night out on the town – voila! Instant night time glamour.

WHERE TO GO

- Café Flore for brunch

- Hotel Costes for dinner – it’s a great trendy place, where all the waitresses are models, and the clientelle look like movie stars from across Europe who you’ve never heard of…but they LOOK important! My reco: try the pesto filled Escargots…delicious!
