Pretty Plaits

This season isn’t the most welcoming for wild blowouts and pin straight down-do’s but don’t be discouraged, here are some products to have your hair wrapped up in the prettiest twists. (bonus: they’ll keep your hair protected from all that winter damage)

Thick to coarse hair:

Heavier oils on the tips of your hair to keep them hydrated and comb with a wide tooth comb. Try Moroccan Oil Treatment [$18-$45], Mason Pearson Rake Comb [$30].

For Thinner, or lighter coloured hair:

Spritz with Alterna Kendi Oil Dry Oil Mist [$27] (be careful not to overdo it) and style as desired.

For Hair that needs a little more body:

Curl your hair loosely and secure with your favourite hairspray,  Sultra’s The Bombshell [$140] curling wand makes it quick and easy.

For added texture:

Try Oribe Texturizing Spray [$39] throughout your hair before braiding and comb through with your fingers for a messy tousled look.
