The fashion gods smiled down on Ottawa this past weekend as sunshine wiped away rainy skies mere minutes before Canada’s most treasured musicians walked the Juno Red Carpet. Before I give a rundown of my picks for most stunning on the bloody rug, I need to give a shout out to a group of handsomeness that was extremely unexpected: label reps! For real… they were ushering celebs to different media outlets and looked handsome as ever – yes gentlemen, it was noticed. I am, after all, a sucker for a cool dude in a tailored suit.
SEXIEST BAD GIRLS

Jully Black killed it in her risky low cut red Greta Constantine dress, while actress Cassie Steele was decked in head-to-toe tight leather (successfully concealing a ripped zipper wardrobe malfunction!)

And eTalk’s Tanya Kim looked hot in a one-piece jumper and Gucci pumps on her set.
MOST DRAMATIC

If Adam Levine & Gwen Stefani had a Canadian baby it would be Diamond Rings. Also must note the sexy Russian red lipstick and matching nail polish.

Also need to shout out some interesting eyewear pieces from Azari & III.
BEST DRESSED MEN

The boys from Down with Webster looked amazing in their sleek suits.

The tall/dark/handsome JRDN pulled off a silver suit & Kardinal was ever-so-dapper in a long coat paired with biker gloves.
FIGURE SKATER FASHION

There was a “bright color & boobs” theme with many of the dresses on the carpet. So among my fave shiny mini dresses: Aleesia’s sequin/nude figure skater inspired dress, and Alyssa Reid looked pretty in her purple frock.
MY FAVOURITE & FAN FAVOURITE

Mine? Lights, hands down. An almost too-casual dress, it was an interesting choice to pull off a hanger, but on the beautiful tattoo-covered Lights, the 50’s style came to life and she looked incredible without trying to be sexy.
And Feist’s red lace number was causing whiplash backstage.
WHAT I WORE

My dress is from H&M’s Glamor Conscious Collection. Only 1000 were made and they are each individually numbered, and will be released in stores worldwide later this month. The coolest part? It’s a dress made out of all sustainable, environmentally friendly, and recycled materials! So…does that mean I can plant it and grow a garden? I don’t know…But it was a hit and so comfortable!

To bring down all that “pretty” I paired in with OPI’s PUMA NOIR black nailpolish, dark eye makeup from MAC, and black/chrome jewels from Lia Sophia for an Avril Lavigne pretty-meets-rock inspired look… What? It’s the Junos!
