SUPAFOODS: For Beauty-Full Skin

You’ve probably never heard anyone say this before, but: you are what you eat. Here are 5 tips and things to try to keep your skin as glorious as ever.

 

 

BERRIES

Strawberries, blueberries, mulberries – you name it.  Rich in antioxidants and they repair skin, so if you’ve got some acne scars to fade – time to go berry shopping.

 

NECTARINES

Peaches and nectarines help protect the skin from sun damage! That means, double up on sunscreen on those summer days and skip the French fries for a DeLiCiOsO nectarine.

 

BENEFICIAL BEVVIES

Green tea: Helps repair cells and is an anti-inflamatory.  Don’t be afraid to drink away your skincare sorrows with a tall cup of green tea.

Milk: (Particularly goat’s milk) can be great for the skin, ever heard of goat’s milk soap?  Drinking it can be great for you, too. Rich in alpha-hydroxy acids it is believed that goat’s milk also rejuvenates cells.

 

APPLES

Two words: Collagen & Elastane.  When you’re thinking about your skin long term, an apple a day keep the wrinklies at bay.

 

STAY AWAY

Avoiding foods high in sugar and fat can keep your skin from sagging, unevenness and breaking out.

Smoking is another hot button subject that we can’t avoid either.  If you want to keep your skin, teeth & insides young, keep away from the ciggies.
