COINONIA is a label that’s hard to say but easy to love. Japanese designers Momoko Hashigami and Kiho Kim are based in South Korea, but launched their line in Milan and showed for the first time in Paris (FW 2010-11). The two cut their teeth under the wings of John Galliano and Antonia Marras. Their ‘Conceptual Contemporary’ clothes and accessories for women might look a bit artsy (and expensive) for daily wear, but deconstructing the collection reveals wardrobe staples at not so crazy price points. Don’t get your hopes up though; there is only one item available for purchase. You can view that here. Hopefully that will change. Soon.
