DRESSING LIKE: We’re On The Hit TV Show Girls.

The HBO show Girls has been getting a little love and a little hate from its reviewers. Some find it to be racist, empty, narcissistic, an STD of ceaselessly over-dramatizing the events of a 20-something girl life, and it’s non-existent style. Others love it ’cause it’s real and relatable and awesome and cool, unlike some unattainable Manolo trotting life. Whether you love it or hate it (for us, it’s love), we’ve dug out the best style moments. Get a little girly and a little gritty with Girls.

LENA DUNHAM / HANNA HORVATH

An aspiring writer, snipped of financial aid from her folks, Lena decided to seek some dough from her unpaid internship. She was fired. Usually dressing in t-shirts from UO with ill-fitting suit jackets, this Comme Des Garcons button down is a refreshing take on Lena’s awkward writerly-prep.

ALLISON WILLIAMS / MARNIE MICHAELS

Hannah’s roommate and BFF, Allison, works as an assistant in an art gallery and has an “it’s complicated” relationship status with her long-term boyfriend. She’s a bit more mature, ’cause you know, she’s got that steady job and boyfriend thing going on. She’s well put together in a jewel-tone body-con dress.

JEMIMA KIRKE / JESSA JOHANSSON

A British Bohemian, unpredictable world-traveller, she’s having a stay-over in NYC.  Wavy blond locks peep out cooly under vintage fedoras, matching her beat up LV bags. Her style is pretty on point (this look from Mango’s SS 2012 lookbook) and Louis Vuitton is OK forever.

ZOSIA MAMET / SHOSHANNA SHAPIRO

Shoshanna is a virgin. She’s also Jessa’s innocent cousin. She definitely could step up her fashion game, but some guys like that girl-next-door look. Low maintenance hair, jeans and a nice little floral blouse or cardigan.
