The quest for the perfect white shoe is a journey I am still on. What makes the perfect white shoe? Well that’s the thing holding me back from hitting that ever important “buy” button. Let’s take a look at a few different styles and weigh our options together. Now, doesn’t that sound nice?
Finding the perfect white shoe is the first step, but deciding how to style them is a whole other issue. From my constant lurking of the internet I’ve seen some looks I’ve loved and some looks I’ve hated. Lets first see some bright whites on the runway.

Corneliani F/W 2012 & Lanvin F/W 2012

Rick Owens F/W 2012
Although runway can be a great starting point for finding trends and wanting to try them yourself, sometimes you need a convincing street style shot to make up your mind.

In the end it came down to one shot for me:

Backyard Bill for Happy Socks. This is it. This is the moment. All pastels with a great sock. Done. I need white shoes. Now it’s time to online window shop.

Good option from Swear Shoes. I like the blue sole but not necessarily for the look I’m going for.

Mark McNairy on ASOS . Another good option but the colored sole just isn’t my thing. Next!

Ultimately, I think these white Dr. Martens are the best bang for your buck. Not the cheapest, but not out of reason. The white sole (or, all white everything) is such a clean look. So, if you think you want to try this look out, these low top Docs are officially have the Pullteeth stamp of Approval.
And there ya have it, white shoes. Love it? Hate it? I think I just convinced myself I need a pair. Did it work for you?
