I’m not trying to full on fan-girl, but I love Alexa Chung. Not only does she have a wardrobe any girl would die for, but she sports some amazing nail art designs. (Shout-outs to Pixie Geldof coming in a close second. Last week she posted a simple & sweet lady bug design on her Instagram & I couldn’t wait to try it out.
Paint your nails a soft pale shade – a light nude or pink polish would work best.
Using a nail art brush (or a regular paint brush) paint your ladybug’s body – a bright red oval shape.
Now, for all the little details of the ladybug: using a dotting tool paint 4 dots on the body of the lady bug using a black polish.
Dot 2 white dots at the top of the lady bug for some eyes. Lastly, using a nail art brush paint the ladybug’s antennae & tail. Don’t forget to add a top coat!
You may not have Alexa’s closet, but her nail art is a DIY anyone can try. These little ladies are perfect for the summertime!
