As we pack up our winter sweaters and parkas, some serious thought needs to go into what items are must-haves for the summer season. Personally, when I open the boxes I packed up at the end of last summer, an instant sense of regret fills the room as I realize I can’t wear half of the stuff anymore. Style changes, that’s okay! Here are my five ~must haves~ for the upcoming summer season. Hopefully this will help fill in some of the holes left in your summer wardrobe.
Snapback Hat (Bonus points for ~funky print~)
Hey, we all have bad hair days. Cover that mess up with a printed snapback. Forwards, backwards, sideways, upside down, whatever floats your boat. A hat is the perfect (and inexpensive) way to introduce some crazy patterns to your wardrobe. Have fun with it!
Socks & Sandals (yes I’m serious)

There’s something about my messed up brain that sees a fashion faux-pas as a challenge to make it work. Easily the biggest fashion crime in the history of recorded fashion, it’s time to try this look out myself. I am very aware that no one will be with me on this one. The cheese stands alone.
Good Sneakers (Bonus points for New Balances)

I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect sneaker for months. Summer = more walking, it’s just a scientific fact. Why bother putting up with painful footwear when you can get a nice, comfortable, inexpensive pair of sneakers and have your feet love you?! There is something effortlessly chic about throwing a pair of sneakers on a well styled outfit. Give it a try.

Lets be real. Beer is great. So are cheesy prints. Mix the two and you’ve got pure Americana bliss. I might be alone on this one but that’s alright. I’m scouring thrift stores to find the perfect beer-printed goodness.

Not the easiest trend to tackle, but when it’s good it’s goooooood. I’ve been looking for a great short + shirt combo for a while and only recently had any luck. This won’t be the easiest look to find but if you have the patience and time it could just work. The pieces I found are currently in the mail so.. stay turned for that.
Summer Jams
