It’s common knowledge that girl dig musicians right? Well, sometimes it’s the girlfriends that steal the spotlight with their kick-ass style…and - sometimes - a music career of their own.

#1: Bianca Jagger (+ Mick Jagger)

This is them on May 12, 1971 and yup, THAT’S what she wore to her wedding. Need I say more? Well, if I must, she was an actress and model in the 70s and 80s but now she’s better known for her work as a human rights activist. As for her and Mick, she filed for divorce in 1978. At least they had a gorgeous daughter, Jade.

I’m sure most, if not all, of you know how things ended with this one so lets not get into that. As for Courtney, in between flashing people in fast food joints and incoherently answering interview questions on the red carpet or at fashion shows, it can be hard to remember that back in the day (the 90s of course) she had this really cool broken doll thing going for her. She was crazy then too. But she looked pretty good. Kurt left behind a now 19-year-old daughter, Frances Bean Cobain.

#3: Dita Von Teese (+ Marilyn Manson)

This happened. She’s a gorgeous burlesque dancer, model, designer and actress but far too many of us know her as one of Marilyn Manson’s impossibly striking exes. It lasted about five years and the downside was that he partied too much and was allegedly seeing another girl. But on the bright side, at least they shared the same shades of lipstick.

Sid and Nancy are arguably the most iconic figures from the 70s punk era. Nancy was recognizable by her messy blonde hair, drawn on thin eyebrows, and edgy outfits. Sid was the bassist for the Sex Pistols but the reason these two are so notorious is Nancy’s mysterious death. Sid was charged with murder but he died before a verdict could be reached.
