If athletic inclination could somehow be immersed in my body/transplanted into my lifestyle/incorporated into the past decade of my daily activities (that have been heavily rooted in sitting), then I’m pretty sure my wardrobe would see immense and immediate changes… perhaps to mirror this week’s #FF, India Rose.
With a seemingly endless supply of sneakers, backward baseball caps, and track shorts, I can’t help being overcome by India Rose induced jealousy. Yes, a great deal of my envy may stem from the fact that she always looks really comfortable, (whereas my clothing often causes respiratory complications and squeamish chair wiggling), but India Rose also is a prime example of someone who can pull off head-to-toe athletic/streetwear-inspired garb without looking remotely questionable. I’ll even go as far as to say that there are seldom humans in existence who can pull off her look in such a successful, seamless, and ~fashion~ way.
And okay, I realize this may have to do with the fact that a great deal of her ‘athletic wear’ is T by Alexander Wang, but I’d like to convince myself that it could easily be from Sport Chek or other sporty-type scenarios that are not cool and hip and /designer/.

Dress up/down/toughen up(???) your basics with an oversized denim jacket layered on top of a ubiquitous American Apparel hoodie! India Rose shows you the way. Werk it girl.

New way to wear your denim shorts: rolled down at the waistband. Your mother may not like it, but I think it looks fun and deliberately disheveled.
Never did I think the day would come when American Apparel tube socks on a fashion blog could look this appealing. I’m so confused???
*Important to note*: I am fairly certain that India Rose is single-handedly keeping American Apparel from actually going bankrupt. Because like, I am unable to articulate how tempted I am to go buy a pair of overpriced tube socks. Seriously. I can’t even.
