A few weeks ago I took a little a trip down to NYC and did some mandatory Manhattan shopping. I checked out some stores, and recommend (if you’re a guy… or with a guy… or shopping for a guy…) that you visit these three shops next time you’re there!
In God We Trust
265 Lafayette Street | 70 Greenpoint Ave. | 129 Bedford Ave.
One of the most intriguing stores I have seen in NYC, this store has a great stock list including brands like Billy Kirk(, Coal, Hill-Side, and Stacy Adams. What really sets this store apart from any other stores that carry a similar stock list is their own label, that is designed and made at their Greenpoint studio. The feel of the In God We Trust collection is a nice old school vibe and quotes inspiration from “ice cream cones, metal sipping straws, vintage Japanese porcelain figurines, dirt bikes, weed, and porn.” What more could you ask for?

Odin
328 East 11th St | 199 Lafayette St | 106 Greenwich Ave
The second you step into Odin you realize that this is not a place to bring your credit card! Literally everything that this store showcases looks perfect, and the mannequins are styled perfectly, giving off a vibe that isn’t too pretentious. Carrying labels like 3.1 Phillip Lim, Bedwin & The Heartbreakers, Comme Des Garcons, and of course their own line, it’s no surprise that the store is such a hit. Odin does cater to a bit of a higher end client, but there are prices for anyone in here.
Check them out on Facebook.
Creatures Of Comfort
205 Mulberry Street
Although the selection here is small, you won’t find yourself complaining. Whoever the buyer for this store is clearly knows what they are doing. Selecting only the best from labels like Wood Wood, Norse Projects, Hope, M.H.L., and Perks & Mini. The open concept of the store with organic accents set to a nice hazy-pop music track makes this shopping experience a must see store.
