10 Easy Ways to Wear Your Hair This September

Two weeks worth of different hairstyles to try for school!

Pastel Ombre

Dip dying the tips of your tresses in pastel hues is a fun way of testing psychedelic colours without risking your entire head or scaring your mom into frenzy.

Reverse Ombre

Because natural looking ombre has become oh so predictable. Invert the trend by fading light to dark for a look that will turn heads and put you one step ahead of your peers.

Topknot

Sock buns are just not practical in the mornings you sleep through your alarm clock. Tossing hair into a casual topknot is the ultimate in undone cool. For perfect imperfection, polish the look by dressing your bun with a chic barrette at the crown or wrapping it with a braid.

Sleek Ponytail

Pulling your mane off your face is no longer reserved strictly for PE class. A gel-backed pony makes for an instantly polished look. For that extra oomph, backcomb the dangling hair, to give it volume and an haute twist.

Beach Waves

The sun and sand may seem like a far away fantasy, but beach-babe waves should not be sacrificed come September. A quick blow dry and a little texturizing spray can go a long way in achieving a low-volume windswept look.

French Braid With A Ribbon

The French braid is to timeless tresses what the LBD is to timeless fashions. You can never go wrong with braid that weaves its preppy way from root-to-tip. But for that extra oomph, interlace a colourful ribbon to take the look from traditional to trendy, s’il vous plaits (see what we did there?!)

Soft Curls

Here’s how to achieve that envious Kate Middleton coif in three easy steps (tiara not included): First, use a curling iron on large chunks of hair in the mornings. Second, run your fingers or the like through, to comb out the ringlets. Lastly, finish by dabbing a little serum, and give your head a shake. Voila – you’ve got shiny strands worth an A+.

Floral Crown

Now adorn those soft curls with a crown made of flowers, since you and I both know that a tiara is likely not in the cards. This bohemian hair trend is a fun replacement for the true and tired headband, as long as you keep it low-maintenance and laid-back. Your inner Lana Del Rey is cooler than the Duchess of Cambridge anyways.

The Twist

Coil hair around the crown into a half-back style, to take a-fresh-off-the-catwalk hair trend from the runway to the hallway. While complicated crown braids can be frustrating and require an extra set of hands, this look is easily attainable and just as chic.

The Embellished Bob

Curl your mane and tuck it under to trick your friends into believing you’ve cut a chin-length bob. Hold the style by embellishing with an array of decorative clips and pins. You’ll look like a doll, guaranteed.
