It’s a crazy print revolution. From stripes on stripes to flowers on polka dots, apparently someone has decided that anything goes. SO, if you are feeling as overwhelmed as I am, here is a simple guide to how to accomplish the seemingly impossible… mix prints without looking like you’ve lost your mind.
We’ll start out slow, training wheels if you will, with a basic stripes on stripes combo. Keeping the stripes in the same colour family works nicely, and you can even mix them with different fabrics – start there.
Inching our way forward, you can wear a patterned shirt paired with some striped pants or skirt. As long as the silhouettes are simple and classic, you will end up with the best combination no matter what the pattern on top is.
Alright, now that we have conquered stripes on patterns, the ultimate test has arrived… patterns on patterns. Here we have an intense floral print with with an equally bold floral print on the bottom. Some people may say it’s crazy, I say it’s cool… you be the judge.
