Everyone needs a partner in crime, and in this case opposites attract. The cynical duo in David Clowes’ Ghost World are the perfect pair. If you haven’t read or seen Ghost World, you seriously need to get on that. Even though it’s over a decade old, these two misfits seem to still be making fashion headway. Whether you’re an Enid or a Rebecca, grab your bestie and make this your Halloween costume.

Enid Coleslaw
First let’s start off with Enid, the cynical oddball who is the lead character in the story. Her attitude certainly matches her style with its uniqueness and its ability to be mismatched but still look awesome. Her most classic outfit can be seen on the film adaptation’s cover. Enid sports combat boots, a plaid skirt, graphic T-shirt, and her signature thick framed glasses. Over time her hair also changes to multiple colours of the rainbow. Now you might not want to copy her swag exactly, so here is a list of suggestions that will give you just the right amount of Enid’s aura.

Rebecca Doppelmeyer
Rebecca Doppelmeyer is Enid’s best friend, and perhaps the more conventional high-school student, but still has a hilarious attitude and casual style that would look great on anyone today. She shows off a favourite combo of mine, sweaters and mini skirts ,and wears classic cardigans throughout. Pair this along with ankle boots with socks peeking out and you are good to go. Keep the hair and makeup fairly simple, with a one layered ‘do and a slightly tinted lip.
