Homer Simpson’s trouble making son has been popping up where we never thought we would find him… on the runways of New York Fashion Week and on the backs of fashion’s elite. He’s not the only one, though. Crazy prints featuring Bart, Bugs Bunny, Hello Kitty, Iron Man, and our other animated friends have been taking over. Here’s how you can (affordably) catch on to the ~trend~.

Other than the Bart Simpson prints sported by Jeremy Scott models, comic book characters are popping up on runway chests everywhere. Iron Man in particular has made his debut, and a good one at that, and Balenciaga showed similar graphics on their sweatshirts for Fall 2012.

Continuing down the road led by Iron Man, 3.1 Phillip Lim has created sweaters that surely *pop*. Titled the ‘Ka Pow’ sweater, Lim zooms in and crops on classic graphic novel sayings and characters, like seen above worn by Fashion Toast’s Rumi Neely, and this awesome Stockholm Street Style-er.

Also, Hello Kitty herself was spotted on this here man. Worth noting.

Now back to Bart (and Bugs!) They are definitely here to help you turn heads this fall.

Now, we all can’t strut around wearing Phillip Lim and Balenciaga (even though I WOULD if given the chance) but Lazy Oaf has some other options that will bring you up to speed at a reasonable price.
In the wise words of Looney Tunes…
