Everyone needs a companion in life, and the famous, rich & beautiful are no exception. However, some of their preferred choices for companions are a little out of the ordinary. Nevertheless, a friend is a friend so we’re not here to judge, but rather share with you some of the more “unique” celebrity pets that are crawling around out there.
Reese Witherspoon’s Donkeys

Reese Witherspoon has got herself a pair of miniature donkeys: one named Honky and one named Tonky. She told Ellen DeGeneres that they’re “docile and sweet”. However, they’re also apparently a bit of a pain in the ass (hehe), according to her neighbours who filed a noise complaint on the cute little buggers.
Leonardo DiCaprio’s Tortoise

We may have just fallen a bit more in love with Leo after finding out that he owns a Sulcata tortoise. The two will be able to grow old together, as Sulcatas can live for up to 80 years. Adorable.
Paris Hilton’s Kinkajou

Along with Paris Hilton’s small animal kingdom, which includes dogs, rats, pigs, cats, birds, bunnies and more, she also acted as mommy to a Kinkajou named Baby Luv. For those who didn’t know, Kinkajous are an endangered mammal native to South America. Apparently the heiress was given notice that she could not keep Baby Luv because it’s illegal for it to be in the United States. Nevertheless, she managed to keep it around…until it bit her on the arm, that is.
George Clooney’s Pig

George Clooney and word “pig” should probably never be used in the same sentence. Except that, he owned a 300 pound one named Max for 18 years until he passed away #RIPMax
Audrey Hepburn’s Deer

How appropriate that Audrey Hepburn owned a sweet little deer. She and her fawn, Pippin, were brought together by the forces of fate when she was filming Green Mansions.
Michael Jackson’s Chimp
MJ’s pet chimpanzee, Bubbles, was probably the most-pampered ape in all of America. He made frequent appearances with Michael throughout the 80’s and up until 2002, could be found monkeying around at MJ’s Neverland Ranch. He now lives in Florida at the Center for Great Apes where, according to sanctuary director Patti Ragan, he spends most of his time “eating sweet potatoes, listening to flute and guitar music, painting and kicking back with pal, Sam.
Vanilla Ice’s Wallaroo

Of course Vanilla Ice would own a pet Wallaroo named Bucky Buckaroo. And of course he would make headlines when Bucky escaped for over a week in Florida. Just another day in the life of Vanilla Ice…
Kristen Stewart’s Wolf-Dog Hybrid

Well now her attraction towards Werewolves makes sense. Kristen’s mother raises wolf-dog hybrids – ya, that’s a thing. And, as she told David Letterman, the eldest male, Jack, is “really sweet”. (Until he tries to eat you…)
