It was a sunny Tuesday afternoon when eager followers of Sid Neigum took their seats in the studio at the FSHN WK tents. Showing his third collection at the tents, this season’s pieces reminded me of why he’s one of my favourites.

Layered leather jackets with mock necks, simple front closures and finishes, and an absence of embellishments – this collection of men’s and women’s wear has great consistency with a simple palette of black, white and neutrals. Layered coats and a streamline silhouette, Sid proves that he is a great Fall designer.
The music – dark and experimental with a hip-hop undertone, speaks to the contemporary youthful brand. It’s refreshing to see a collection that was well done on all levels.

Makeup and hair (clearly all we could capture from where we were sitting), exercised a very clean minimalism, unlike the stick-on eyebrows and pale faces seen last season, hair was slicked back and toned down. I was especially happy to see a man-bun in full effect, a hairstyle for which I am weak in the knees.

All hail the man bun, this hair style is better than yours.
