We once outlined why Australia is the best place in the entire world, so it wasn’t really surprising when Mim and Liv of EDM twin-duo NERVO turned out to be essentially the coolest humans that have ever existed. I was fortunate enough to catch up with them at CoverGirl’s Summer Beauty Remix in New York, and despite being approximately 3ft taller than me, they were kind enough to sit and share their beauty tips/tricks/must-haves…all the while giving me a peep into their communal bag.

You’d assume the guys and gals down at iTunes must be a pretty cheerful bunch. Every day, they get to make thousands of people extremely happy by giving away free, awesome, free, free (did I say FREE?) tunes for everyone to d-load and enjoy! When iTunes first started the incentive, most of the complimentary songs were by lesser-known acts; however, as of late, the generous music aficionados started offering FREE tracks from major artists like Jamie xx (of The xx)! It seemed all was well and good in the world until a ~unique~ customer commented this on the iTunes site:
“It’s free, but I really have no idea who the artist is. Apple, you should concentrate on stuff people really want for free. Not a randomly chosen album!”
What the!? WHO IS THE XX?! Dude, this one’s for you, and anyone else who is concerningly unaware of The xx’s existence. (Almost as questionable as the 2012 Grammy’s incident concerning an indie folk singer and a large woodland animal that shall not be named for it is too shameful a moment to speak of). The best instances always result from bizarre things getting married (take a look at Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ spawn for example) – and this is a belief that I’ve been dedicated to for the past couple of years. I couldn’t explain how this came about, but contrary to popular belief, it wasn’t something I adopted for the sake of being more likeable and relatable. Rather, it was something that came about ~organically~ because I took it upon myself to be more open-minded.
I therefore would like to present you with sushi cats: two of my favourite things existing as one entity (for the present time). This entire construct excited me so greatly I needed to articulate it as soon as humanly possible, and that is why this sushi cat collective is about to exist.
