All The Times Willow Smith Took A Stance

Our favourite 15-going-on-75 year old, Willow Smith, has teamed up with Stance Socks to create Miss Dazey, the brand’s newest line. Being the new face of Stance and launching her own sock line is a new venture for Willow, but taking a ~stance~ for what she believes in is definitely not. This inspiring, unique, tough girl is no stranger to stating her opinion and it totally rocks our socks off.

We’re matching our fave Willow Smith quotes with a pair of her complimenting new socks. Click through to see the entire line!

Willow’s stance on education

“I went to school for one year. It was the best experience butt the worst experience. The best experience because I was like, “Oh now I know why kids are so depressed.” But it was the worst experience because I was depressed.”

Willow’s stance on fashion

“I’d rather wear flowers in my hair, than diamonds around my neck.”

Willow’s stance on how the world should be

“The whole world would be one big tribe, one big commune. It wouldn’t be split up and divided, we wouldn’t be fighting nearly as much, we wouldn’t be using unnecessary sources of power. We’d be using free energy, we’d be eating from the trees, we’d be drinking from the natural stream. There wouldn’t be traffic, and diapers and pollution in our rivers. It would all just be transcending into another dimension.”

Willow’s stance on being yourself

“Nobody else can do you like you. That’s the best part about being unique and being on this Earth. The universe is unknown. The universe that’s within you is unknown. How can you even know anything about the deepest parts of yourself? It’s kind of scary sometimes.

Willow’s stance on family

“Having a kid is like — I could never imagine. Having a life that you’re responsible for, it’s too much — you want them to experience everything they need to experience, but you also just want to hold them close to you forever, and just watch them grow. But they need to flower off and do their own thing.”

Willow’s stance on her brother

“Having a brother is such an amazing experience. Especially when you’re a girl, you’re just like yin and yang. When you can look at the masculine in him and the feminine, and then you can look at yourself and be like the feminine in you and the masculine, you guys become one and you can go back and forth.”

Willow’s stance on reading material

“There are no novels that I like to read so I write my own novels, and then I read them again, and it’s the best thing.”

Willow’s stance on gender roles

“Males and females are put into boxes of expectation when we are born. As we grow we start to raise the damages that those expectations cause to our spiritual and emotional understanding of ourselves and life. The more we start to realize that we are all the same and infinitely different at the same time, the more we begin to shed those expectations and live free to continue to uplift the essence of Earth.”

Willow’s stance on creating things

“The only reason why I create music (or anything at all) is because I literally have to or I will no doubt implode heart-first”
