Behind every successful woman is more women who inspired her, lifted her up and supported her throughout her career. This is exactly the case with Mariah Owen, a 22-year-old film producer/actor/writer. We recently caught up with her to talk about what it’s like to be a woman in a male-dominated industry, her new film M.F.A. and the five women who shaped her career. Read more about this up-and-coming producer under the cut!
International Women’s Day is all about girl power! Celebrate today with your fronds ’till the ond. Dance all night long, rage with your girl gang and go ~zig-a-zig-ah~ for these jams.
Everyone knows not to judge a book by it’s cover, but if we ~were~ to judge Much Creator Tasha Leelyn’s look in her latest video, we’d definitely be like “did she do her makeup in the dark or something?”
And we’d pretty much be right.
Tasha recently got together with Katie Kavanagh, a Toronto-based graphic designer, to discuss her winning design for Bioré’s 20th Anniversary Deep Cleansing Pore Strip packaging – and to try their hand at a blindfolded makeup challenge!
Ring the Beyoncé alarm, because today is International Women’s Day.
And it just so happens that it’s also the day our American sisters will go on a historic strike as part of “A Day Without A Woman.” Girl power is needed now more than ever, but attending the strike is a privilege because for many women, missing a day of work isn’t in the cards.
The 6ix will celebrate International Women’s Day in a march on March 11, starting at the University of Toronto’s Medical Sciences Building and ending with a fair inside Ryerson University’s Student Learning Centre.
Don’t feel ashamed if you can’t make it to a march. Luckily, there are still things you can do to to stand in solidarity, make your voice heard and feel empowered.
Aurora is everything we want to be, all rolled up into one little whimsical package. She floated into the studio one dreary afternoon not too long ago to fill our day with a little bit of magic, and a lot of funny FIRSTS.
Watch below as Aurora remembers some of her ~firsts~which include clown pants, Hannibal and her sister’s thong.
Drinking a cold glass of water, the first bite of a ripe grapefruit, a fresh cup of coffee—so many things give us ~energy~ in the morning to really kick start our day. Get energized with us this Sunday morning with our latest moodboard.
It’s the start of a new month (and almost the end of Winter!) which means it’s the perfect time to experiment with your look by trying out a new hair colour.
Watch Much Digital Creator Tasha Leelyn walk you through how to colour your hair an eye-catching peach pink just in time for Spring.
New day, new beauty product. As beauty lovers, it seems like we’re always being introduced to the latest and greatest innovations in makeup and skincare–but few products are in for the long haul. But that’s not the case with Bioré! This year, the skincare brand is celebrating the 20th anniversary (that’s right, 20 years!) of their iconic pore strips.
To commemorate the incredible milestone, Bioré enlisted the help of Katie Kavanagh, a recent Humber College grad and Toronto-based graphic designer to create new, limited edition packaging for their Deep Cleansing Pore Strip range. We got the chance to chat with Katie on set at our shoot with Bioré about her inspirations, how she came up with the design, and her favourite pore strip memories. Check out our interview with her—and enter to win your own Bioré prize pack—under the cut!
Shoppers Drug Mart is one of those magical places that ~truly~ is a one-stop shop. You can go in with a shopping list of tampons, birth control, yogurt, bronzer and Gas-X—
AND LEAVE WITH EVERYTHING ON THAT LIST. (plus some Excel Bubblemint gum, just ’cause, y’know)
Much Digital Creator Melissa Merk recently went on a Shoppers Drug Mart ~shopping spree~ where she picked up some newly available products.
We all know ~*it’s what’s on the inside that counts*~ but sometimes pretty packaging can count for something too. If it’s aesthetic enough to earn a spot on your Instagram feed, then we can only hope it’s contents are equally appealing.
No matter your skin type, we rounded up some products that are guaranteed to make your skin and your bathroom counter look ~flawless~
