The Evolution of Naomi Campbell

Will the real queen bee please stand up?! Competitors /bow down/ because I’m clearly referring to Naomi Campbell: conquistador of the runway and ~Queen of the world~. Since she broke onto the scene at the tender young age of five, the sassy south Londoner hasn’t taken designer knockoffs or “no’s” for an answer. We’ve watched her grow, watched her fall (hey to be fair they were nine-inch mock-crocodile skin platforms), and watched her reclaim her sanity with community service (also while wearing platform shoes). Her image has transformed from a shy, play-it-safer to a Beyoncé-Tina-Turner hybrid, with a minor pit stop as a criminal offender (x 7 …and counting). In honour of fashion’s favourite misbehaver, here is a look at the physical and mental evolution of the woman Nelson Mandela calls his honorary granddaughter.

90s Supermodels: Where Are They Now?

Though the decade of Friends, Full House, and jelly shoes had only just begun, the five young starlets gracing the cover of British Vogue’s January issue were already among the highest paid women of their generation. They lip-synced to George Michael, had Barbies created in their likeness, and made photography greats like David Bailey cower at their very beauty. Before Cara, before Coco, and even before Karlie, a band of long-legged beauties ruled not only the runways, but also the world. Awesome People Hanging Out Together: FRONT ROW EDITION

Fashion Week is one of those amazing events that brings people together; awesome people. And because space in the front row is limited, people you wouldn’t normally see together somehow end up sitting next to each other and posing awkwardly for photos.
