HEADLINES: Oliver Theyskens is a “FASHTRONAUT”, Stella McCartney is 40 and Daphne Guinness is the BOMB.

Designer Stella McCartney celebrated her 40th birthday last night surrounded by her closest and most glamourous friends. Whoa! Now that’s a birthday dress! (PopSugar)

So Kanye West is adding “womenswear designer” to his resume. Of course he is! Because he can do anything, right? At least he’s smart enough to consult a mentor; Italian fashion designer Riccardo Tisci. A mentor to Kanye; you couldn’t pay me enough to do that job! (Fashionologie)

Amazing photo-bomb a la Ms. Daphne Guiness. (MTV Style)

Geeze, getting dumped really was the best thing to happen to her career! Kristin Cavallari has just been named online brand ambassador for Chinese Laundry. Is making money enough to heal a broken heart? Yeah, probably. (People)

Ughhhh these Uggs are UGGLY! Actually they’re FUGLY! (Refinery 29)

Tyra Banks has written a novel. Haha I know, but I’m not done. The novel, entitled Modelland, is inspired by events and memories from her career BUT with monsters and magical elements. Right, okay. (Hollywood Crush)

The Bumby’s have HIGH praise for Theysken’s Theory spring 2011 line. Literally. (The Cut)

Headlines: W makes Amber ancient, Kate Moss speaks about her wedding & Hilfiger is not a racist.

Snoop da Loop really is a hippie at heart. Between #puffpuffpass Tuesdays and his new turquoise blang blang its evident the boy misses the 70’s. When spotting this little dangle all I could think of was Charlotte York questioning Carrie Bradshaw, “but what about the turquoise?” after Carrie confesses she wants Aidan back.  So yeah, I’m with you Char, what about the turquoise – yay or cray? (Refinery 29)

Civil rights meets fashion, as the new MLK Memorial is about to be dedicated. Over at The Daily Beast Ms. Givhan delivers an interesting read about how fashion has played an integral part in aiding Mr. King’s efforts. And no, before you even think it, the rumours of Tommy being racist are just that; rumours.  I promise. (The Daily Beast)

Kate Moss breaks her usual silence to discuss her wedding in a vinterview (video interview, duh) for Vogue. “Oh, to get married. Sigh.” (The Cut)

Once upon a time on a magical island called New York, a fashion-loving heiress and a design genius meet on the street because of a kimono. True Story. Rip dear friend. (Fashionologie)

I recently discovered that Club Monaco sells vintage purses and accessories among their regular merchandise. Well it seems now Urban Outfitters is following suit. I don’t know about you but I want to see the numbers; is this really flying with consumers? I doubt it. (Nylon)

Alexa Chung for Madewell! Squeee. Enough said. Pictures are here. (In Style)

Amber honey, why would you let them do this? Why is it necessary? Is it just me or have special effects been on crack lately? Whatever happened to good photography? To 2-D, clean lines, and fashion for fashion’s sake rather than shock and awe? I’m sure Grace Coddington hears me on this one. (The Frisky)
