FYI: Canadian Things on Justin Bieber’s Instagram

This pains me to admit, but there are a handful of things that I like about Justin Bieber. I’m usually pretty unabashed about my likes and dislikes, but there’s something very incriminating about admitting an…un-ironic appreciation…for someone who is frequently…not…appreciated…

I think this matter has exploded into less-than-desirable proportions since I skirted around the topic in this guide that I penned to a non-specific/not-exclusive-to-me audience. One Justin Bieber post is plenty, but a second one is (arguably) a little excessive. With that said, you can only imagine that having to speak candidly about this topic is going to end up with me either 1) fleeing the country or 2) appropriating a new identity (read: Selena Gomez). So with the intention of being as kind as possible, please read on to see a not-so-comfortable analysis of Canadian things on Justin Bieber’s Instagram. Instagram Filters: Which Designer Is Your Photo Wearing?

The question that will come to define our generation is simply, “If you were an Instagram filter, which one would you be?” Even those with the most far-flung hint of a wi-fi signal on their flip phone have developed some sort of opinion on filter options, while their smartphone-using friends are loyal to the one filter that never ceases to disappoint the faint hope that that filter will be the one that makes their photo to the popular page.

In the same way clothing colours our life, we bask in the self-indulgent glory of how our favourite filters make us sparkle like a Cullen in the sun. Call Instagram filters the façade of the new millennium – your wardrobe 2.0.
