If you’ve ever been to WayHome, then you already know that good times are plentiful, but shade is scarce. The elements can really throw a wrench in your *chill festival vibes* and this year is shaping up to be a scorcher with highs of 31 degrees and sunshine all three days. We’re not complaining though- we’re just being proactive. Here are our tips and tricks for beating the heat and enjoying WayHome.
This past weekend I attended Wayhome Music & Arts Festival in Oro-Medonte, ON for my first ever overnight festival experience. Planning a weekend-long festival trip is exciting, but can also be very daunting for a broke-a$$ bae like myself (where my students at, you feel me??). When you’re planning for the weekend, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and to think that you won’t have any FUN if you don’t have the FUNDS. As Wayhome 2016 came to a close, I reflected on my time spent camping under the stars, and realized that I had learned a lot about the DO’s and DON’TS of festival thrifting.
My friends and I may not have camped in style, but we made it to the other side of the weekend unscathed (although a little dusty)! Click through to see how this Fora intern survived Wayhome 2016 on a budget and how I learned what not to do… the hard way.
Just like music, festival style is all about expressing yourself and showing off your ~true colours~ so we traveled to New York with Mila Victoria where she could show us hers with the help of Féria by L’Oréal Paris.
This city music festival brought out the *Wild City Blue* in Mila as she traipsed through city streets and danced through festival grounds while sporting Féria’s Smokey Blue hue. Click through to watch Mila’s wild city festival experience!
Remember when we said Osheaga was our last hurrah of festival season? Well, like the claims “one size fits all” and “frozen yogurt tastes the same as ice cream”, we lied. FORA’s headed to Time Festival tomorrow–here’s who we’re excited to see.
Festival season has officially kicked off and as always we’re super excited to see the trends, especially when it comes to hair! Because let’s be honest, showering at music festivals is a luxury that few are lucky enough to experience. To help you make it through a weekend sans shower, we’ve come up with some ‘dirty dos’ that you can rock all weekend long, without worrying about actually looking dirty. read more…
