If you haven’t heard yet, the Toronto Maple Leafs hit a huge milestone this year, celebrating their 100th birthday. And since Leafs Nation deserves to celebrate in style, Much has teamed up with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Mitchell & Ness and the Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards (CAFA) to select two local designers to create a men’s and women’s capsule collection.
The Toronto Maple Leafs turn 100 this season, and for all you budding young designers, you have the chance to help Leafs Nation celebrate this milestone in ~style~
The Leafs and the Canadian Arts & Fashion Awards (CAFA) are selecting two designers to create a capsule collection in honour of the Leafs’ centennial. So if you’ve always dreamed of seeing your design on real clothes, this is your chance!
But before you sketch out your best ideas in hopes of nabbing the $25, 000 grand prize and the title of Toronto Maple Leafs Design Challenge Champion (that’s basically the design equivalent of winning the Stanley Cup), here are four resources for up-and-coming designers that might help.
Much like red lips and the classic white tee, denim is a fashion staple that’s not going anywhere. And with the Toronto Maple Leafs celebrating their centennial season, it’s clear that their team and Leafs Nation pride isn’t going anywhere either! Much Digital Creator Deejdesign recently sat down with Leafs legend Wendel Clark, where we found out that his hockey game was pretty strong, but his denim game in the ’80s may have been stronger.
In honour of the Leafs centennial season, we decided to mix Clark’s devotion to denim with the Leafs newest gear (available at the Toronto Maple Leafs Store powered by Real Sports Apparel starting August 24), to bring you an ’80s-inspired denim lookbook with a Toronto Maple Leafs twist!
Not many things look good when they’re a whole century old (except for maybe 100-year-old Ryan Gosling), but this year the Toronto Maple Leafs hit that milestone. To celebrate, they’ve unveiled a brand-new logo that’s gonna keep them looking ~fresh~ until their next centennial.
With this landmark moment fast approaching, it’ll be hard to not bleed blue and white, but if you’re anything like Much Digital Creator Letitia Chan, you may think icing is just extravagant jewellery and your best guess for what a hat-trick is would be a hat that doubles as a stylish clutch for a night out. If this sounds familiar, you’ll want to click through for a Maple Leaf themed buying guide curated with the stylish help of Letitia!
