They don’t call it heart~break~ for nothin’, because breakups can leave you feeling pretty broken. But don’t be so weary, we compiled a list of the best movies to get over a breakup. With everything from the conventional (Legally Blonde) to the extreme (Kill Bill), find solace in these films’ heroines.

Rather than being petty and acting out on something you might regret, let Uma Thurman channel your vengeance and slay all those on her hit list, including her jealous ex-lover Bill (David Carradine).

2. AMÉLIE (2001)

In this beloved French film, Audrey Tatou plays an imaginative and mischievous waitress who decides to interfere with (and hopefully improve) other peoples’ lives. Amélie proves that spending time alone can be warm and full of life.

Forget your EX with this classic comedy (and seeing Jason Segal nude).

7. HEATHERS (1988)
