The Nail Biting Truth About Your Nailpolish

We are all obsessed with super foods and supplements for our bodies, but what about for our nails? After browsing through Sephora’s endless supply of nail products, we came across NAILKALE, a vitamin packed polish that promotes strength and growth (Oh Kale Yeah!). This got us thinking about the amount of weird stuff that we must be painting on our finger tips.

Nail products can contain a toxic trio of ingredients such as, formaldehyde, toluene, and dibutyl phthalate. If we shouldn’t eat what we can’t pronounce, we’re strong believers that we probably shouldn’t be putting it on our nails either! These chemicals are toxic (duh) and have the ability to cause some major health issues. Many brands are trying to eliminate what is REALLY bad, but we aren’t sure that it’s enough since there is such a long line of chemicals that follow closely behind.
