Click below the cut for our guide on restoring your sneakers to their OG state!
What you will need:
-Dirty sneakers
-liquid dish soap
-detergent
-cloth
-iron (if your sneakers are not mesh)
-bleach
-toothbrush/scrub brush
-acetone
STEP 1:
Remove the laces from your shoes. Mix 3 parts bleach 1 part water in a small cup and fully submerge your laces. Set this aside!
STEP 2:
Use warm water, soap, and your cloth to wipe down the shoes, inside and out. This part isn’t meant to get out big stains, just to give an overall clean, so you don’t need to use a ton of elbow grease.
STEP 3:
Use the detergent and a strong brush to buff the stains out of your sneakers. This works best on shoes with stained mesh! Reeeaaally put your all into buffing the big stains out in this step.
STEP 4:
Scrub off stains on the rubber midsole using acetone and a toothbrush.
STEP 5:
If your shoes have creases, use an iron on a low setting over top of a cloth to smooth them out.
STEP 6:
Rinse your laces in soapy water and let air dry with your shoes. You can use a hair dryer to speed up this process. Once your shoes are dry, throw the laces back on and you are ready to go!
Enjoy your ~new kicks~
