Having previously attended a Catholic high school; collared shirts and I haven’t always got along. Over my adolescent years the collared shirt has become a sore spot in my wardrobe of life. You know when something is forced upon you while you’re young and you therefore grow-up resenting it? Well, that was me and my association with collars … that is until NOW.
Collar style adornments (like the Mr. Dannijo ones above – photo via The Man Repeller) are one of the hottest trends this fall; so hot even a collar hater like me cannot resist them. The perfect accessory for those of us that follow a strict jeans and a tee dress code; the collar adds that extra pop we all covet. Differing from the bibb necklace these collars add dimension to a simplistic outfit by mimicking the structure of a shirt collar but constructing out of stand out materials like metal and silver.
