It is the OLDEST (read: THE FESTIVAL THAT STARTED IT ALL) film festival in the world, SO, doesn’t it make sense that the stars would flock, look gorgeous, and debut films so beautiful and important that we don’t even understand them (like W.E. and The Ides of March, which we honestly don’t know what that means)? YES. But luckily, fashion is a universal language that we ALL speak!
DIANE + EVAN
Elie Saab Couture/ Alessandra Rich
Oh the DRAMA. No, not catfights, just gorgeous gowns! Diane and Evan both went with light, cream-coloured dream dresses. We’re envious.
ANDREA + CINDY
D&G/ Roberto Cavalli
Andrea’s the leading lady in that Madonna-directed letter film, W.E., so it’s fitting that she stood out with a lovely print from D&G, while the mother of all supers – Cindy Crawford looked positively regal in a red Cavalli number.
BIANCA + MARISSA
Giambattista Valli/ Marios Schwab
Now THIS is how you do an animal print – if you’re gonna go wild, go all out. Bianca looks classy, and we LOVE t he feathered ends, it’s like leopard meets peacock. And Marissa should get an award for picking this jewel-toned dress, simple yet bold.
KATE + MADONNA + ABBIE
Her own/L’Wren/Elie Saab
Kate Winslet we swear, is like wonder woman, she puts on clothes and she looks fantastic. Madge and Abbie both opted for black with peep-toe shoes and some action around the neck. This just proves, your LBD will always work! And if you get a little chilly, pull a Kate and grab a blazer.
BEST PLAYSUIT EVER. JEALOUSY. WANT. NEED.
